East Bangladesh floods from August 2024

This dataset contains a summary of the exposure of population, landuse, infrastructure, social dimension, etc., to the 2024 August floods event. On August 21, 2024, heavy rainfall, coupled with a surge of water released from a dam in India's Tripura, resulted in severe flooding that affected 73 upazilas (sub-districts) and 528 unions/municipalities across 11 districts in northeastern and southeastern Bangladesh. The flood extent was obtained from UNOSAT SAR AI model and its effects were computed onver several domains starting from population and endiungh with infrastructure.
