US Electric Power Transmission Lines

This dataset — based on the Homeland Infrastructure Foundation‑Level Data (HIFLD) — depicts electric power transmission lines across the United States. According to HIFLD, “Transmission Lines are the system of structures, wires, insulators and associated hardware that carry electric energy from one point to another in an electric power system.” The dataset includes overhead lines operated at high voltages (from 69 kV up to 765 kV) and, where available, underground transmission lines.
